Swiss Pine Lantern

Our sustainably produced Swiss pine wood lanterns with hemp cord adorn every living room and entrance area. Playful details such as copper sheeting, door latches, and carved tenons lend them a touch of nostalgia.

The glass is crafted by a local glazier – it is perfectly set into the Swiss pine wood. The lantern is delivered with an organic stearin tealight in a high-quality ceramic dish (burn time approx. 8 hours), which sits securely in the lantern in its own Swiss pine wood holder.

It's best to order suitable tealight refills (24 pieces per pack) at the same time. Each lantern is handcrafted in our workshop.

Material: All our products are made from solid Swiss pine (Pinus cembra), which grows in the Schnals Valley at an altitude of 1,700–2,000 m – untreated and natural, so that the beneficial Swiss pine scent can unfold freely. Textile products such as pillows are filled with selected fabrics and hand-planed Swiss pine shavings.

Wood care: Wipe your Swiss pine item with a dry or slightly damp cloth – please do not soak and do not put it in the dishwasher. Rinse cutting boards briefly with warm water after use and let them dry thoroughly. If the scent fades after years, simply lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper – and the Swiss pine will smell like new again.

Cushion & textile care: Wash the cover gently if necessary. Occasionally fluff up the Swiss pine flakes inside and air out the cushion; the filling can be renewed after about 1.5 years with our refill pack.

Good to know: Each piece is a handmade natural product – grain, knot pattern and color may vary slightly. This is exactly what makes your piece unique.
